Everyday, we see so many people, laughing and sharing moments, happily going about their business. Yet, we might be filling lost, wondering what is wrong with us that we are not experiencing the same joy.
We are social beings yes, and we need each other. So when you are sitting alone at the park bench, you also wish at times for the human connection that you might see others sharing around you. The good thing is that it is within reach.
When we are amongst strangers, we are most likely amongst friends, or friendly people. When we reach out, we are more likely to meet with kindness rather than hostility. The journey from potential friend to friend starts with taking the courage to make the initial connection with a stranger who might need it more than you do.
We have more in common than that which separates us. So at most times, our assumption should be that we are amongst friends.
