We’re often unkind to ourselves and others, criticizing our own moves and that of others. That can cause us to stall, and not do the work.
What if we chose to love instead? What if we recognize that there is no effort without error, and that there is no growth without effort? We would be less paralyzed, and therefore act more boldly. We would also be more forgiving of our own human failings and that of others.
Let’s choose to love ourselves and others as true friends should, holding ourselves accountable to our true ideals and values, but with tolerances for our human fallibility. Don’t we all need a friend? And what better way to start than by being your own best friend.
